Galaxy Home is smart speaker Samsung With virtual assistant bixby . It was introduced in August 2018.
Designed to replace stereo sound, Galaxy Home fulfills a role similar to competing products, Apple HomePod Google Home Max and acoustic systems Sonos.
Smart speaker from Samsung
Galaxy Home was first announced on Samsung, unpacked events in New- York. The home speaker was demonstrated on stage and subsequently shown to attendees, but specific details about the speaker were not released and participants were not given hands-on time with the device.
The Galaxy Home has a crisp appearance with a black body, an omnidirectional tweeter that is supported by three metal feet. The appearance of the speaker has been compared to things like a glass and a barbecue grill.
Spotify was announced as the premier music service deeply integrated into Galaxy Home. For example, in the future, users listening to music through Spotify will be able to switch from phone Samsung to Samsung TV on Galaxy Home.
It’s unclear if more music services will be built into the speaker after Spotify. The Apple HomePod exclusively uses Apple Music, while the Google Home Max and Sonos speakers support several music services directly.
However, the Galaxy Home will support «streaming» music to the speaker, which will help open it up to other music services — similar to how HomePod works with Airplay .
Bixby is Galaxy Home’s built-in virtual assistant
Apart from music, the other main component of Galaxy Home is virtual assistant with voice control Bixby. Galaxy Home includes eight microphones to assist Bixby in in-depth listening and understanding.
