You can instantly return to Bumble to a profile you’ve already left using a simple trick called Backtrack. Here’s what you need to know about the Backtrack Bumble feature and how to use it.

Why Bumble Back features are so useful

Scroll through profiles application Bumble can be very exciting, but it can also be very repetitive. It’s very easy to accidentally swipe left to pass someone too quickly before taking a really good look at their profile.

It may also take some time to get used to knowing which way to swipe. When you’re new to an app, you might mistakenly swipe left, thinking you like it that way, only to realize later that you passed it on.

Almost everyone knows what is the selection of the zone in front of the screen and the beginning viewing on autopilot. When your finger automatically swipes left before you have a chance to think, the Backtrack feature will allow you to get a better view of the profile so you can reconsider your choice.

Returning to a profile you swiped left to go through is currently only possible from the Bumble app for iOS or Android . This is not possible in the web version.

How to return to the profile you just added

Bumble has a so-called Backtrack feature built into its two mobile apps that use your mobile device’s motion sensors to run it. The fact that it’s called by motion makes it so easy to use.

You can check out this Backtrack feature by simply swiping left to pass to anyone. Just follow these steps.

  1. In the Bumble app for iOS or Android, go to tab Swipe in the center of the menu at the bottom.

  2. Swipe left to go to any profile.

  3. Now immediately start shaking your device back and forth.

It is very important to do this immediately. If you don’t shake your device fast enough after you swipe left on a profile, Bumble will make you move on by automatically showing you the next profile.

  4. If your device’s motion sensor is working properly, the «Backtrack» screen should appear on your Bumble screen.

Press and hold the yellow button Swipe to Backtrack then swipe right across the screen, to confirm , whatever you want with a touch of Backtrack.

  5. The profile you just swiped left to go through will reappear, so you have the option to swipe right to like it (or left to go through again).

You only get three returns every three hours

Make sure you use your Backtracks wisely because you don’t get unlimited backtracks. You can only make three returns within three hours.

Each time you shake your device to pull out the Backtracker, you will be shown how many Backtracks you have left. If you shake to open this screen and decide you want to save Backtracks, just press X at the bottom of the screen to exit and continue browsing other profiles.

Can you get back to likes?

Sorry, Bumble doesn’t let you go back to profiles you’ve swiped through to like them. If you accidentally swipe right on a profile, you cannot go back to view their profile again and redo your swipe.
