If you are using email addresses gmail and GMXMail checking email in both places can be inconvenient. Luckily, you can set up Gmail to receive GMX email messages (and even send them from your gmx.com address) from Gmail. So you can use both services from only one interface. Gmail can even automatically apply a label to all of your GMX mail messages so they’re all in the same place in Gmail, leaving your inbox uncluttered.
Enable IMAP and POP3 on GMX
Before Gmail can access your mail from GMX, you need to allow it access. GMX disables by default access by IMAP and POP3 for security reasons. Thus, you must manually enable them first.
-
Open GMX and sign in.
-
Select Setting in the menu to the left of the screen.
-
On the page settings find POP3 & IMAP in the left menu and select it.
-
You will be taken to a page with information about using POP and IMAP. Select Enable access to this account via POP3 and IMAP .
-
Once you have done this, click Save, to make the change permanent
