If you have a Google Home smart speaker, you have easy access to over 5 million recipes. Yes, the days of spilling flour all over your favorite cookbook or smearing your smartphone with egg white are over. Be warned though; The Google home page won’t turn you into Gordon Ramsay.
Google Home Frees Your Hands
With a little help from Bon Appetit, The Food Network, and The New York Times, to name just three, Google Home can now read step-by-step cooking instructions for any of over 5 million recipes. Which, since cooking requires the use of two hands, can be insanely useful.
The first thing you need to do is find the recipe you want to follow. You can find it online using Google Assistant or Google Search. Once you find it, click «Submit to Google Home» to save your recipe. Then, when you’re ready to start cooking, say «OK Google, start cooking.»
