Of course, such a feature can be found on any programmable thermostat, but Nest makes it pretty quick and easy to set a schedule and do it right from your smartphone in the Nest app, but you can also do it right on the thermostat. myself. Here’s how to do it both ways.
In the nest app
To get started, open the Nest app and tap the Nest thermostat on the home screen.
Click on «Schedule» at the bottom.
This will result in a blank spreadsheet that looks just like it would in any calendar app. Click on the day of the week. Let’s start with Monday.
Click «Add» in the lower right corner of the screen.
This will make the grid appear. Then click anywhere on the vertical axis above the time you want to set for a particular temperature. So if you want 72 degrees at 6 a.m., press somewhere right above «6A».
When you click, a dot will appear with a temperature and time below that.
To adjust the temperature to 72 degrees, press and hold the dot and then drag it up until it shows «72».
