If you ever forget to lock your door when you leave, Kwikset Kevo can make your life easier by doing it automatically when you leave the house. Here’s how to do it.

This feature is called «Auto-Lock» and it’s actually just Kevo’s automatic re-lock 30 seconds after unlocking. It might be convenient, but it will do it no matter what. So if you get home and leave the door open for more than 30 seconds, the lock will still be locked again and you will need to unlock Kevo before you can close the door.
This is by no means a huge inconvenience, and if you can get past this little quirk, Auto-Lock can be a huge security boon for you.
To enable it, go to the Kevo lock on the inside of the door and remove the entire inner cover. You will need a screwdriver to remove the three screws holding it in place (two on the side and one on the bottom).
Once the lid opens, you will see a small panel with four switches on the mechanism.
