If you want to get into the holiday spirit by cozying up with a nice old Christmas present, then you’re in luck. There are quite a few streaming services to choose from with old and new movies to watch.
Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video is a great way to watch a lot of Christmas movies at no extra charge. If you’re already subscribed to Amazon Prime, which costs $120 per year, you won’t have to worry about paying extra for some movies. It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol are some of the Christmas classic games that you can download for free from Amazon Prime. There are a few more out there, but you might have to rent them through Prime Video.
If you don’t mind spending money to rent or buy a movie, you’ll love the other Christmas movies and shows you can get with this service:
- Alone at home
- Chrismas story
- The nightmare before christmas
- Red-nosed deer Rudolph
- I want a dog for Christmas Charlie Brown
Netflix
Trusty Netflix also has several Christmas movie options so you can comfortably watch them all on the couch. There are different pricing for the three different Netflix tiers: Basic at $9 per month, Standard at $13 per month, and Premium at $16 per month. The Basic package allows you to have one stream at a time, the Standard package allows you two streams along with HD content, and the Premium package allows you to use up to four screens with HD and Ultra HD content. This means you can watch The Grinch Stole Christmas and White Christmas in the best quality available.
If you’re looking for a great service with a lot to offer, then you should check out the other movies available on Netflix:
- Christmas Chronicles
- Claus
- The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
- Grinch
Hulu
Even though Hulu’s Christmas selection is a bit poorer than the other options, it’s still a great contender for the movie selection. Hulu also has three tiers: the standard plan is $5/month, the ad-free version is $11/month, and then $45/month for all Hulu content and live TV.
Some of the movies you’ll find on this site are A Very Delusional Christmas, Home for the Holidays, Krampus Unleashed, and hallmarks like Rodeo, Juliette, and Naughty or Nice. These are great classic Christmas movies along with a newer and scarier Christmas tale like Krampus.
