Skype conference — a call is a meeting, on which many people communicate at the same time, using either voice or video. Free voice conference calls allow up to 50 people to simultaneously participate in a video or audio group call.
Bandwidth Requirements
inadequate bandwidth — Internet connection speed — reduces the quality of the conference call, even before the connection is lost. Plan for at least 1MB of network bandwidth per participant. If one of the participants has a slow connection, the conference may be broken.
Who can participate
Any registered Skype user can participate in a conference call. The conference host, who is the person initiating the call, must invite the contacts to the call. Once they accept, they’re in.

To start a conference call and add people to it:
-
Select one of the contacts you want to add to the call. It can be anyone in your contact list.
-
When you select a contact name, the right pane of the screen displays the contact details and some options. Select green the button that initiates the call.
-
To add more people from your contact list, click » +» at the bottom of the screen, then select more members.
Someone who is not invited can join the group call as long as the host accepts it. They call the host, which is asked to accept or reject the call.
Add people not using Skype
Also, people who don’t use Skype but use another phone service, such as a mobile phone, landline, or VoIP service, can join the meeting. These participants will not be using their Skype accounts. Instead, they take skype number hosta . The host can also invite a non-Skype user using skypeout in which case the host bears the cost of the call.
Merge calls
Merge calls to create a conference line. For example, if you are on two calls at the same time and you want everyone to talk about the same thing during one call, go to tab » Recent ” and drag any of the calls, and then to another. The calls will be merged.
Also, if you receive an incoming call while on a Skype call, you have the option to choose button Merge calls to merge your ongoing and incoming Skype calls.
