By default, AirPlay is designed to mirror your iPhone’s screen to an Apple TV or Airplay 2 compatible Smart TV. In order to use it for mirroring on Mac, third party software such as the app mentioned below is required.

Download and install Reflector on your Mac.

Open the Reflector app. The «Welcome to Reflector» screen should now appear. For the purposes of this guide, it is recommended to select » Try Reflector 3″ .
If you’re happy with the mirroring feature that Reflector offers, you can purchase it before or before the trial expires.

Make sure your iPhone and Mac are connected to the same WiFi networks .

Open Control center then click » Screen Mirroring» . If you don’t see the Screen Mirroring option, instead of this click air play .

The list of available devices should now be visible. Click on the name of the Mac you want to map to.

You will now be prompted to enter an AirPlay code that will appear on your Mac’s screen in the Reflector window. Enter this code and click OK .

A new Reflector window will now appear on your Mac, mirroring your iPhone’s screen. You can drag this window to move it to a new location or increase its size, as well as record its contents or take screenshots using the icons located at the top of the interface.

To stop mirroring at any time, simply exit the Reflector app on your Mac, or go back to Control Center on your iPhone and tap Stop mirroring» .
