Snapchat not sending notifications users that are blocked, so if you suspect you were, you’ll have to do your own research to confirm it. Fortunately, it’s not very difficult.
These instructions apply to Snapchat users on any device with the latest version of the app.
How to know if you are blocked on Snapchat?
Here are the main steps you need to take to determine if blocked whether you who- then on Snapchat.

Check your latest conversations . The first big clue that can tell you if a user has blocked you is to see if they appear in your chat history. This step is only useful if you have been in contact with a user who may have blocked you before clear your conversations .
Open the Snapchat app and navigate to the conversations tab by tapping the speech bubble icon at the bottom of the screen to the left of the camera link button. If a user you suspect has blocked you doesn’t show up in list chat, despite a recent conversation with him, this is a big clue. Alternatively, you may not have had a recent conversation with the user, or you may have forgotten that you cleared your history. If so, move on to the next step.

Search for their username or full name . If a user has blocked you, they won’t show up when they search on Snapchat. However, if they removed you from friends list you can find them by searching.
It is important to understand the difference between blocking and deleting on Snapchat. If a user has blocked you, you will not find any trace of their account and you will not be able to contact them in any way from the blocked account.
If a user removes you from their friends list, you will still find them in their friends list and can continue sending pictures. However, depending on privacy settings they may not get them if they only allow their friends to contact them.
To find the user you suspect has blocked you, tap functions search at the top of the screen in the conversations tab or snapshots tab, marked with a magnifying glass icon. Start typing the username or full name of the user you want to search.
You will get more accurate results if you know the username. There may be several other users with similar full names, but the usernames are unique. Likewise, full names can be changed at any time, while usernames are permanent.
If a user appears in search results, they will be displayed under label » My friends, if you are still on his friends list, or under label » Add friends», if they removed you from their friends list.
If the user you’re looking for doesn’t show up at all despite looking up the exact username, they’ve either blocked you or deleted their Snapchat account.

Search for their username or full name from another account . Not being able to find the user you were looking for in the last step increases the chance that they blocked you; however, this is still not enough to confirm this. You can confirm that their account still exists by searching for the user on another account. You have two options:
- Ask a friend to find a user from his account.
- Log out of your account and create a new account to search for this user.
The first option is the easiest because it means you don’t have to do all the extra work involved in signing up for a new account. Select a friend, relative, colleague, or other acquaintance who is on Snapchat and is not friends with the user you think may have blocked you. Ask them to search for a user by username (if you know it) or by full name.
If you choose to create a new account instead, you will have to sign out of your existing Snapchat account or download the app on another mobile device if you have access to it. Click the button Register to create an account.
