When you buy a physical item that you don’t need or is not quite right, you can usually return it to the store and get your money back. If the purchase is made digitally from iTunes Store or App Store Refunds don’t happen very often.
Apple does not guarantee that an iTunes or App Store refund will be issued. If you buy a song from iTunes and then request a refund, you can get both your money and the song. Because of this, the company regularly fails to issue iTunes refunds to anyone who wants it. It doesn’t make the process of requesting a refund obvious either.
Instructions in this article apply to Macs running macOS Sierra (10.12) and later, and devices iOS running iOS 11 and above. Similar instructions apply to earlier versions of macOS and iOS; just find » Account» > » Purchase history» in the store from which you want to receive a refund.
How to get an iTunes refund on a computer
If you’re buying something that you already own, that doesn’t work, or that you didn’t want to buy, you might have a good reason to get an iTunes refund. In this situation, follow these steps on your computer to ask Apple for your money back:

If you are using macOS Catalina (10.15) or higher, the process is slightly different. In this case, use the Apple Music app (iTunes has been discontinued). In doing so, select » Music» > » Settings» > check the box » Show iTunes Store» . Then click iTunes Store on the left sidebar. Go to step 3.

open iTunes and press » Score», to go to the iTunes Store.

Click Account . Then sign in with your Apple ID and password when prompted.

On the screen » Information about account» go to chapter » Purchase History » and press » View all» .

Scroll through your purchase history. Find the item you want to get a refund for, then click » More» .

In the expanded list, click Report a problem .

Depending on the version of iTunes you’re using, the default web browser will open or you’ll continue in iTunes. Either way, the steps are the same.
On the screen Report a problem click drop-down list » Select a problem» and press » I want to request a refund» .

AT text field » Describe this problem enter the reason you are requesting a refund, then click » Send» .
You will not receive an immediate response. After a few days, you will either receive a refund, a request to iTunes Support for more information, or a refund denied message.
