Abode’s Quick Actions are a lot like shortcuts, giving you quick access to certain tasks so you don’t have to navigate menus to do things. Here’s how to set them up.

Quick Actions is one of the main screens of the Abode app on your smartphone, and there’s even a New Quick Action button. However, this does not work and you need to go to the Abode web interface to create quick actions. So if you’re not sure why this won’t work, try the web interface instead.

Once you’re there, sign in with your Abode credentials.

After logging in, click «Quick Actions» on the left sidebar.

Click the «Add» button in the upper right corner of the left pane of the window.

You will now choose what you want each time you perform a Quick Action. There isn’t much you can do, but in this case we’ll choose «Capture images from all motion cameras».

After that, click the drop-down menu and choose whether you want the camera to blink when it takes a picture.

Click next.

Give the Quick Action a name and then click Save.

Your new Quick Action will appear in the list on the web interface, and if you open the Abode app on your phone, you will also see it on the Quick Actions screen. Clicking on the round play button from right to right will perform a quick action.

To remove a Quick Action, you must do so through the web interface by clicking on the small trash can icon on the left.
