Google combines all of its various payment tools into one holistic solution. Google Pay is a new brand under which Google Wallet, and more and more will work. This means that from now on, you will only need to provide your payment information to Google. simples.

Google is such a huge company in charge of so many products and services that it can get a little confusing at times. What is happening with Google’s digital payment solutions. However, the company is finally bringing together all of its various payment tools as Google Pay.

Easier, safer and more consistent

Google Pay will replace Android Pay and Google Wallet, at least in name. The functions of these existing tools will remain much the same, but they will be called Google Pay and work as one coherent solution. Which should save a lot of confusion as well as wasted time.

In announcing the keyword change, Google says that over the past year it has «worked to make this experience easier, safer, and more consistent.» The result is Google Pay, a brand you can expect to see more and more of over the next few months as partners join the ranks.

At launch, Google Pay is available on Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, and Instacart, as well as several other unnamed websites and apps. To encourage people to start using Google Pay sooner rather than later, Google offers money when you spend certain amounts on certain apps.

In a nutshell, Google Pay means you only need to save your payment information to your Google account once and the company does the rest. And it doesn’t matter if you buy apps from Google Play, pay for things online. or in store, or sign up for YouTube Red

Creating a seamless experience for users

It’s a good move on Google’s part, and one that was a bit overdue. Branding is important and therefore offers users a great user experience for the services you provide. By bundling everything together under the Google Pay brand, Google has made the process much easier.
