Google brings Android Message Assistant. Having previously added the assistant to Google Maps, Google decided that it also belonged to messages. Google Assistant essentially adds an extra layer of information on the topics you’re talking about.
Google Assistant adds Smart Messages
Google is pushing Assistant hard. The company’s latest attempt to put the assistant everywhere is to insert it into messages. This is the default messaging app for android that supports SMS, MMS and RCS. And now he’s added a backup from Google Assistant.
The Google Assistant will be phased into Messages for users around the world. Once integrated, the Assistant will offer suggestions related to what you are talking about. This includes the movies you want to watch, the restaurants you want to visit, and even the weather.
A suggestion will appear and you can decide whether to view it and share the information, or just ignore it. Either way, these suggestions are generated on your phone, so you don’t have to worry about Google reading your private text messages.
Beyond Messages, Google Assistant is also rolling out to more feature-packed phones running KaiOS. And in the coming months, Google is introducing voice dialing to KaiOS. This means mobile phone users will be able to dictate text messages, search the web and more.
Google Assistant will be everywhere soon
This all goes to show that Google is determined to put assistant everywhere. After all, it’s now available on your phone, in certain apps, and on smart speakers. And that’s not bad for those of us who like to have a world of information literally at our fingertips.
It should also be noted that Google is ending support for Allo. in March 2019. Allo was a smart messaging app that made heavy use of the Google Assistant, making the assistant jump to Messages in a timely manner. And, of course, not by chance.
