Now that Amazon Echos can receive calls and messages, you only need time when you’re tired of all the notifications. Echo Show can be the most invasive, allowing impromptu video calls or Drop Ins, and showing you events or news. Here’s how to turn on Do Not Disturb on the echo show so you can get some peace and quiet at night.

The Do Not Disturb mode on the Echo Show will completely turn off the screen and block any notifications you may receive until you turn it off. Right out of the box, you can enter Do Not Disturb mode by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping Do Not Disturb.

Once you turn it on, the screen will dim and show the current time. To turn off Do Not Disturb after that, swipe down and tap the same button again.

You can also set the Echo Show’s Do Not Disturb mode to turn on at certain times of the day. For example, you can turn off the echo show at 11:00 pm and turn it back on at 6:00 am before work. To set up this schedule, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.

Scroll down the list and click Do Not Disturb.

On this page, tap the «Scheduled» switch to turn on the Do Not Disturb schedule.

Then, at the bottom of the page, click the Start button to set the time for Do Not Disturb to start. Echo Show will automatically enter Do Not Disturb mode at this time every day. Repeat this process for the end time as well, so that the echo show knows when it should return to normal.

If you’re running your Echo Show in a room where people are sleeping, watching TV, or generally don’t want bright lights on their face all the time, it’s a good idea to turn on Do Not Disturb as soon as you get the Echo Show.
